In recent years, the people in Minh Dan Commune have developed their economy through growing fruit trees. Of these, lime trees were highlighted because of their high economic efficiency. People can earn VND300 million - VND400 million from each hectare of these trees.

Up to now, annual average per capita income in the commune has reached VND36 million per person. Total food production in terms of paddy was estimated at 1,940 tonnes, and the average food per capita was 390 kilogrammes.
In addition, local authorities have also focused on forest management and protection, afforesting 384 hectares of new forests while maintaining a forest coverage rate of up to and over 60.5%.
At the beginning of 2020, the commune had completed 13 out of 19 criteria for building a new-style rural area. Thus, the commune must strive to implement an additional six criteria to reach all the required goals in building a new-style rural area. The most important task of the commune is to accelerate the construction of school infrastructure works, commune offices, and stadia. When these works are completed, the commune will fully satisfy all the requisite new rural criteria.
