In the first eight months of 2020, the district created jobs for more 1,800 workers in the locality, reaching 68.9% of the assigned plan. In addition, the district has also introduced jobs in enterprises both inside and outside Tuyen Quang Province for 692 labourers.
Ly Thi Dong in Dong Tram Hamlet, Tu Quan Commune was supported with VND10 million to buy breeding cows under the poverty reduction model project of Yen Son district.
Since the end of June 2020, the Division of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has coordinated with Yen Son District’s Vocational Training Centre to organise free vocational training courses. Up until now, 12 vocational training classes have been created with 420 trainees participating in classes such as planting fruit trees, the planting and caring of tea crops, repairing agricultural machines and processing wood.
The district has implemented projects to support production and improve income for labourers. 555 poor households and 334 near-poor households in the locality have been supported to develop their production at a total cost of over VND4.1 billion.
In addition, the district has also invested in economic development in the production regions of Kim Quan and Hung Loi communes, supported the purchase of agricultural machines for locals in the communes of Quy Quan and Luc Hanh, as well as implementing a project replicating poverty reduction models in Tu Quan and Thang Quan communes.
In the near future, Yen Son District will continue to effectively create jobs for labourers, contributing to poverty reduction and an increase in incomes for the people.
