For nearly a year, a 2-ha vegetable farming model of Huy Tung Company Limited in Kim Phu Commune, Tuyen Quang City has provided over 1 tonne of vegetables per month for collective kitchens in Tuyen Quang City and two clean food stores in Hanoi.

Vegetable, tuber and fruit products cultivated by the Tan Hop Cooperative in Hong Thai Commune, Na Hang District are also sold in Vinmart supermarket stores in the city. The volume of agricultural products consumed in supermarkets is about 100 kg per day.
The soil, weather and climate conditions of the province are suitable for many different types of vegetables. The whole province currently has about 8,000 ha for vegetable farming, an increase of over 1,000 ha compared to 2018 with an annual vegetable output of 96,000 tonnes.
The vegetable farming areas according to VietGAP standards are concentrated in the districts of Yen Son, Chiem Hoa and Son Duong and Tuyen Quang City. The province’s total volume of safe vegetable is expected to reach nearly 14,300 tonnes.
To boost the production of clean vegetables under VietGap standards, the province is ready to give advice and support to organisations and individuals to register their trademarks as well as encouraging enterprises and cooperatives to apply science and technology in their agricultural production.
