As soon as additional support sources were available, localities focused on mobilizing additional resources, effectively organizing implementation and achieving many practical results in the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
With the participation of the entire political system and the people, many localities have had flexible and creative ways to mobilize resources to build houses for poor households. Many provinces have assigned poverty reduction targets to units, departments, branches and sectors, thereby mobilizing the participation of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers. In addition to the central government's capital, localities have also flexibly combined it with capital from national target programs and socialized capital for implementation. To support each other in implementation, some large cities and leading economic localities have supported localities with difficulties in implementing the program.
In Tuyen Quang province, by mid-March, the whole province had 3,418 poor households having their houses renovated and repaired, reaching 49.34% of the plan. In addition to searching for, calling for connections and mobilizing businesses, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists to organize the construction of houses for poor households, each completed house also has the contribution of manpower, money, and help from people, relatives, neighbors, and organizations.
The creative and flexible ways from localities not only help the program to eliminate dilapidated temporary housing for poor households to be effectively implemented but also demonstrate the sharing and companionship of society towards those in difficult circumstances. When housing is no longer a concern, people will have more motivation to rise up, build a stable and better life.
