The Prime Minister requested Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, and Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to continue to direct the promotion of a vibrant, determined, drastic, and more aggressive campaign; promptly detect and strictly handle violators; at the same time, strictly handle cadres, civil servants, and officers who show signs of moral degradation, corruption, negativity, protection, and assistance to law-breaking subjects.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has launched a peak period to combat and prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights in the fields of agriculture and the environment. The peak period takes place from May 15, 2025 to June 15, 2025.

The scope of inspection focuses on products under state management, focusing on: food safety, fake, toxic food, of unknown origin; forestry and aquatic products; production and trade of fake plant varieties, livestock, fertilizers, and pesticides; use of growth stimulants in fruits; and abuse of chemicals to increase weight, prevent dehydration after thawing, causing volume fraud, and reducing product quality. These are pressing issues that directly affect public health, the environment, and the reputation of Vietnam's agricultural exports.

Regarding this issue, at the ongoing 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, many National Assembly deputies also proposed the need for a stronger and stricter sanction system for the production and trade of counterfeit goods. It is necessary to increase criminal sanctions, expand the scope of prosecution for organized, organized and repeat offenses. For the organized production and trade of counterfeit goods, causing great damage, it is necessary to prosecute criminally instead of just administrative penalties. It is even possible to criminalize more minor acts if they are repeated many times to prevent them from the beginning.

To continue to promote the fight, prevent, repel, and eventually end the situation of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights; to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of people and businesses, the Prime Minister requested that Party committees at all levels and the entire political system participate; Mobilize businesses and people to actively and responsibly participate in the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods to detect early, combat and prevent right from the grassroots, from the origin.
