Speaking at the National Assembly forum, a delegate suggested that the death penalty should be kept for these crimes, and that this should be considered a crime of "indirect mass murder". If we take this crime lightly, people and society will lose trust. At the same time, it will go against the orientation and strategy of our Party and State in developing the quality of human resources, developing Vietnamese people in terms of intelligence and physical strength to help the country rise up.

People are currently very worried about the social ecological environment, the living environment, because there are many threats: fraud in cyberspace, air quality, social order, especially the concern about counterfeit goods, fake goods, poor quality goods; especially the production of food ingredients for daily meals causing dangerous diseases.

People are also questioning the role of state management when more and more subjects producing and trading counterfeit goods are discovered. More worryingly, the testimonies show that counterfeit goods have existed for many years.

There are opinions that, to eliminate counterfeit goods, it is necessary to deal with fake civil servants who have assisted or turned a blind eye to the circulation of counterfeit goods.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the meeting of the Government Standing Committee on May 19 recently stated that smuggling and making hundreds of tons of counterfeit goods without the authorities knowing, there are only two possibilities, one is that there is no longer the will to fight; two is that there is bribery, there is negativity; both of these must be strictly handled.

That is also the desire of the people, who are living every day in fear of using counterfeit goods that cannot be identified.
