Yen Son focuses on improvement of life quality for people with meritorious services to the revolution

TQO - Upholding the fine tradition of the Vietnamese people − ‘Drinking water, remembering its source’− the local authorities of Yen Son District in recent years have actively implemented support policies for revolutionary contributors.

The district has 1,185 policy beneficiaries who are receiving monthly allowances, including 2 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 209 families of martyrs, 367 wounded soldiers, 107 sick soldiers, and 370 dioxin victims.

Along with the State budget, the district has mobilised resources to build the gratitude fund for the past 5 years, reaching nearly VND4.5 billion. From central and local funds, the district has visited and gave more than 2,000 gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution and their relatives on holidays and supported 185 households with meritorious services to build and repair houses, with a total cost of over VND5 billion.

In addition, 100% of people with meritorious services received free medical examination, health care and medicine, 325 meritorious people received financial support for orthopedic equipment and rehabilitation.

The district has also directed all agencies to encourage the households with meritorious services to live with their relatives to reduce the poverty ratio as well as promote economic development.

In the coming time, the district will continue to communicate and mobilise strength of all people to participate in contributing and improving the quality of the lives for people with meritorious services.
