Youth union members of Xuan Lap Commune participating in rice planting for fundraising.

Xuan Lap Commune has 119 union members and young people participating in union activities. Most of them are ethnic minorities. In the rice crop, Mr. Lo Tien Huong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Xuan Lap Commune has contacted families who needed people doing farm work, then union members participated in planting and harvesting rice in order to raise funds.

Since 2019, the Xuan Lap Commune Union has organised 5 labour exchanges with more than 80 working days, raising a fund of nearly VND10 million.

The money from this fund was used to buy peach seedlings to plant  along both sides of the road leading to the commune centre and support exam season support campaigns.

In 2021, the Youth Union of Xuan Lap Commune has deducted from its fund VND2 million for the free meals programme of the District Union, and donated VND1 million to local disadvantaged students who participated in the 2021 national high school graduation exams.

In the coming time, the union will actively encourage its members to uphold the spirit of solidarity to create practical and meaningful movements and activities for the locality.
