Tran Ngoc Chung's family in Hop Thanh Commune, Son Duong District was facilitated to borrow capital to develop the carpentry craft, bringing stable income.
Up to date, the rate of poor households of the province has fallen by 19,137 households, accounting for 9,03% in late 2020. The province strives to drop the poor households to 6,93% by the end of 2021.
In order to fulfill the goal, right from the beginning of 2021, the province has directed sectors, levels and localities to review the causes of poverty, continue implementing synchronous poverty reduction policies, and create conditions for poor households develop economy and escape poverty.
In addition, many poverty reduction programmes and projects have been launched as well as support policies of the State have been effectively implemented for pandemic hit-workers by the province.
Tuyen Quang Province has planned a sustainable poverty reduction project for the 2021-2025 period, ensuring the effectiveness and actual situation.
The province has also approved the provincial socio-econmic development plan in combination with the national programme on socio-economic growth in ethnic minority and mountainous areas during the 2021-2030 period in order to realise the dual goals of poverty reduction in association with ensuring the economic development and social security.
Furthermore, the provincial authorities continues to invest and develop essential infrastructure, especially the transport connection in remote, isolated and extremely difficult areas.
Supporting poor households, near-poor households to access basic social services need to be paid more attention. Effective poverty reduction models as well as vocational training programmes associated with job creation must be replicated in the province.
