According to forecasts of the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, hot weather will continue to occur on a large scale in the coming days. To continue to proactively prevent and fight forest fires and minimize damage caused by forest fires, the Prime Minister has asked localities to proactively and strengthen urgent measures to prevent and fight forest fires.
Tuyen Quang province has nearly 450,000 hectares of forestry land, accounting for 76% of the natural area, of which the planted forest area is more than 192,800 hectares. Thanks to being proactive in preventing and fighting forest fires, in many years the province has not had a serious forest fire occur. However, people absolutely must not be subjective, negligent, or lose vigilance, especially during peak periods of sunshine and heat.
Forests are actively participating in the fight against global climate change, providing oxygen to the atmosphere and retaining large amounts of CO2 emitted; is a source of water, creating and maintaining soil fertility; helps regulate the negative impacts of extreme weather phenomena such as storms, floods and droughts, etc. The values of forests for life are enormous. Therefore, the responsibility for forest fire prevention and fighting does not only belong to the authorities, but each person needs to raise awareness and responsibility for strictly implementing regulations on forest management, protection and development.
