The members of women association in Lien Thanh Hamlet, Phuc Ung Commune, Son Duong District taking care of the "flower garden in the sky" model.

Lien Thanh Hamlet was selected as a place to build the model of "flower garden in the sky" by Phuc Ung women union in March 2021, with the participation of 76 members.

The members of association have taken advantage of single-use plastic bottles to design beautiful flower pots with different shapes and colours. Depending on the type of plastic bottles, they have researched and planted flowers such as snake plants, pothos, aloe vera, roses, moss roses, etc.

To date, the model has nearly 100 flower pots. The commune women association has mobilised local people to support nearly VND4 million to buy flower shelves for exhibition.

To sum up, the "flower garden in the sky" model of the Women's Union of Phuc Ung Commune, Son Duong District have created a new rural aesthetic beauty and limited environmental pollution caused by plastic waste. In the coming time, the association will deploy and replicate this model to 20 hamlets across the commune.
