Efforts to settle down for people

TQO - The emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households" has been strongly implemented, bringing practical results nationwide. For poor and disadvantaged households, especially those who have lost their entire homes due to recent storms and floods, the first thing that needs attention and support is to help them have a place to live and "settle down".

Unexpected natural disasters and floods have increased the number of households needing support to build houses. All levels, sectors, localities, agencies, units, enterprises, collectives and individuals have quickly organized donations and supported billions of VND to help households build houses and rebuild their lives.

Since the beginning of this year, the Prime Minister has launched the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households" and recently, the Prime Minister has issued a document directing the acceleration of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide. Since the beginning of the year, the spirit of "mutual love", sharing and noble gestures have been demonstrated through thousands of newly built and repaired houses, helping poor households feel secure in their work and production, rising out of poverty.

With the goal of completing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, in the coming time, it is necessary to continue mobilizing socialized resources in combination with State resources to join hands to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for people. Innovate methods and approaches in the direction of diversifying resources, including resources supported by the central and local governments, resources mobilized and assisted by the grassroots community, resources made by the poor households themselves who are supported, etc.

Mobilize ministries, agencies, localities, enterprises, banks, organizations and individuals at home and abroad to directly support disadvantaged localities. People and households receiving support must be self-sufficient, families and clans can help with money and working days in the spirit of "whoever has something to help, whoever has merit helps merit, whoever has property helps property, whoever has little helps little, whoever has much helps much".

The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is one of the important political tasks that requires high determination, great efforts and drastic actions from all levels, sectors and localities to complete the goal of everyone having a stable home by December 31, 2025.
