Recently, giving his opinion on the development of the Politburo's draft resolution on breakthroughs in public health care, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to build a roadmap for free hospital fees for the people as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister requested to urgently complete the draft resolution in the direction of changing from the main focus on medical examination and treatment to taking care of and protecting people's health; with the motto of caring for and protecting people's health above all, first and foremost, is fundamental, strategic, long-term, decisive, medical examination and treatment are regular and sudden.

In particular, implementing people's health care according to the 2-level local government model must ensure equal access to health care, especially in remote, isolated, border, island, and ethnic minority areas; developing preventive medicine, grassroots health care; etc.

Implementing primary health care for people right from the grassroots level is an opportunity to focus resources and reorganize the grassroots health system to be close to the people, closest to the people so that people can be cared for. Implementing the roadmap for free hospital fees means managing and taking good care of people's health right from the beginning (pregnancy), from the grassroots level (community), having annual health check-ups and managing health with electronic medical records. When serious illnesses are detected, they will be treated free of charge at the central level.

This is one of the major decisions that is in line with the people's wishes. Clearly demonstrating the superiority of the regime in the difficult circumstances of our country, the above commitments have demonstrated the efforts of the Party and State to ensure a solid foundation for social security.
