1. 2019 is the fourth consecutive year that Tuyen Quang Province has achieved and exceeded all of its 21 major socio-economic targets, with budget revenues reaching over VND2.1 trillion. The province has been actively implementing administrative procedure reforms, refining the business environment and attracting a large number of major corporations and enterprises to invest in the province, such as Vingroup, FLC, DANKO and APEC groups.
2. The Prime Minister approved an investment policy to build a highway route linking Tuyen Quang city with the Hanoi - Lao Cai Highway in the form of build-operate-transfer (BOT).
3. The “Then” ritual practice by Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic people in Vietnam has been added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The province successfully organised the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Demonstration Festival 2019 and Thanh Tuyen Festival.
4. The National Assembly Standing Committee promulgated a resolution on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in Tuyen Quang province, which regulates administrative boundaries to expand Tuyen Quang city and reorganise commune-level administrative units in Son Duong district. From January 1, 2020, Tuyen Quang province has seven district-level administrative units and 138 commune-level one (down three commune-level administrative units).
5. Successfully organising the Provincial Defence Zone drill in 2019 with excellent results.
6. Organising a series of events and a grand ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's Will in connection with the review of the three-year implementation of the Politburo’s Directive No. 05 which is in relation to the acceleration of the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle.
7. Successfully organising the Tuyen Quang Province’s Fatherland Front Congress at all levels for the 2019-2024 term, as well as the Tuyen Quang Province’s 3rd Ethnic Minorities Congress and its Youth Union Federation Congress at all levels for the 2019-2024 term.
8. Completing and starting the implementation of a scheme on reorganising and merging villages and urban residential areas in the province (reducing 357 villages and residential areas). Reviewing and reorganising the structure and apparatus of the provincial and district Party agencies and governmental units (reducing 85 contacts in the relevant agencies and units), while piloting a number of new organisational models and apparatuses (merging a number of advisory and assisting agencies of the local Party Committees with the specialised agencies of the local government units with similar functions and tasks at the district level), as well as initially fixing duplication and overlap in functions and tasks in the province’s public administrative system.
9. Tuyen Quang Province has the highest forest production area (over 25,300 ha) in the nation certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)’s granting recognition for sustainable forest development. It’s also among the provinces with the highest forest coverage in the country, above 60%.
10. Implementing a resolution from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on taking children to kindergartens which goes above and beyond the set blueprint, while improving the quality of child care (the set target in the resolution is reaching 30% for children registered to kindergartens by 2020, however the figure in 2019 reached over 33.3%, higher than the national average set at 28.5%); also promulgating and implementing a resolution of the Provincial People's Council on a number of policies to encourage the development of non-public preschool education in the province.
