During their stay, Tuyen Quang officials visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia and the Consulate of Vietnam in Sydney, while paying working visits to the Digital Transformation Agency of the Australian Government Office and La Trobe University in Melbourne.
At the meetings, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Van Son informed the hosts on Tuyen Quang’s cooperation and investment attraction demands, the priority projects under implementation in the province, the exports of Tuyen Quang’s strength industrial and agricultural products to the Australian market, the issues posed to the province in e-government building, as well as its demands and potential for cooperation in tertiary education and vocational training.
The Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia suggested the contents and projects in which Tuyen Quang should seek investment partners, while pledging to assist the province in disseminating information about the prioritised areas that it is calling for investment, seeking the consumption market, and connecting Tuyen Quang with Australian partners and investors.
A representative of the Digital Transformation Agency shared the body’s experience in designing and implementing policies for a digital government, reforming administrative procedures, building and sharing data associated with ensuring security in implementing an e-government, and the way to get the people and businesses involved in public services through the e-government information network.
The leader of La Trobe University promised to consider cooperating with the Vietnamese province in the future.
