From bamboo and bamboo shoots that are carefully selected, through the talented hands of the craftsmen, the chopsticks imbued with the Tay cultural identity have found a place in the market, contributing to preserving the traditional craft and improving the lives of local people.
For the Tay people, bamboo chopsticks still have a special spiritual value, reminding them of their roots and their connection with nature. Almost every commune in Chiem Hoa has a few households making bamboo chopsticks. There has not been a large craft village formed here, but the craftsmen here contribute to preserving the traditional craft.

Currently, the Tay chopsticks have been selected by the District People's Committee to display at OCOP booths introducing the district's typical products.
Mr. Do Van Hieu, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Chiem Hoa district shared: “We realize that bamboo chopsticks are not only a common household item but also a product with a strong local cultural imprint. Bamboo chopsticks are a potential product, gradually selected to be included in the district's OCOP program. This is an important step to standardize the production process, improve quality, design more eye-catching packaging and build a brand story for the product”.
The development potential of the Tay bamboo chopsticks craft is gradually being promoted. Chopsticks are not only a daily item but also a unique handicraft product, imbued with the local cultural identity. Promoting and developing the chopsticks craft contributes to preserving the Tay culture, while creating more income for the people and attracting tourists to Chiem Hoa.
