Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee Pham Minh Huan works with the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern delegation (Germany).
The German delegation is on a visit to Vietnam to attend the opening ceremony of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s representative office in Hanoi.
Speaking at the meeting, Huan emphasised that Tuyen Quang is seeking for potential investors to invest in the province’s key areas, including education-training, agro-forestry development (particularly high-tech agriculture), tourism, industry, the processing industry, waste treatment and the environment, and the protection of wild animals.
For his part, Harry Glawe said that his state shares many similarities with Vietnam, and has strengths in renewable energy, agriculture, the food industry and biotechnology.
In the near future, Tuyen Quang and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can cooperate in a number of fields, such as cattle breeding, fruit processing and preservation, higher education, nurse training, German language training, hotel management and wild animal protection, he suggested.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can also help advertise Tuyen Quang’s tourism and food in Germany, Glawe added.
On the occasion, Huan invited Harry Glawe and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern delegation to visit Tuyen Quang and have a working session with local leaders at an appropriate time.
