The provincial leaders visit a pavilion displaying Tuyen Quang’s signature products at the event.
Hosted by the Tuyen Quang provincial People’s Committee, the three-day event features a wide range of activities including a display of indigenous cuisine, agricultural and tourism products of ethnic groups in the province; and performances of cultural rituals and traditional costumes of Tay, Dao, and Cao Lan ethnic groups. There is also a parade of two mid-autumn festival lanterns named ‘Truyen Thuyet Thanh Giong’ (The Tale of Saint Giong) and ‘Rong Vang’ (Golden Dragon).
The event aims to introduce the land, people, cultural value and tourism potential of Tuyen Quang province to Hanoi city dwellers and visitors alike.
Held as part of the Thanh Tuyen Festival and Festival of National Intangible Cultural Heritage 2019, the cultural days contribute to safeguarding the provincial traditional culture and boosting local tourism development.
The event also seeks to strengthen cultural link between Tuyen Quang – the capital of the liberation zone, the capital of resistance war – and the capital city of Hanoi.
Participants at the opening ceremony were entertained with an arts programme highlighting the cultural identities of Tuyen Quang province.
