A performance by members of Pa Then ethnic group’s traditional art troupe at the launching programme.
The 25-member troupe will practice and deliver performances such as giao duyen (duet) singing, panpipe playing, ‘bat’ (bowl) dance, and ‘cau mua’ (worshipping for favourable weather conditions) dance.
The launching of the troupe is among the activities within the framework of the MoCST’s action plan on preserving and upholding the culture of Pa Then ethnic group in Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces.
It also aims to safeguard and promote folk melodies and folk dances of the Pa Then ethnic people as well as their traditional craft of weaving, thus contributing to boosting local socio-economic and tourism development while creating jobs and improving income for ethnic minority groups in Tuyen Quang province.
