Dang Van Anh, owner of Homestay A Phu in Na Tong Hamlet, Thuong Lam Commune, said that Jiaogulan can be processed into many tasty dishes such as jiaogulan stir-fry with eggs or minced meat, and jiaogulan soup, etc. However, to have the right flavorful dishes, the cook also must to choose right vegetables. Jiaogulan has 3 types: 3-leaf, 5-leaf and 7-leaf type. To cook soup, local people often use 7-leaf type, the taste of the dish will be more delicious.
Currently, Lam Binh District has planned Jiaogulan specialized cultivation areas. This plant was piloted in a number of households in Hong Quang Commune, then expanded in Lang Can, Xuan Lap, Tho Binh, Binh An communes. The total area of Jiaogulan in the whole district is about 5ha, with an output of 7 -8 tonnes per year. With the selling price ranging from VND10,000 - VND15,000 VND per kg, the locals can improve their incomes from this specialty vegetable.
