The 1st International Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2022 took place at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.

The second international hot air balloon festival will take place in Tuyen Quang from April 28 to May 2, 2023 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Tuyen Quang City) and in Thuong Lam Commune (Lam Binh Province).

The festival will perform under two forms of hot air balloon flight: free flight and hanging flight.

The festival gathers foreign pilots who have a license issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of different countries and have more than 1,000 flight hours to fly hot air balloons.

Hot air ballooning activities are carried out very strictly, ensuring the safety conditions.

Along with the pilots, the force of Ballooning Media Company Limited and local forces such as the army and militia will actively participate in supporting and handling situations to ensure operation.

The festival will have more than 20 hot air balloons with different sizes and shapes such as smiley faces, bird shapes, dog, etc. The special thing at this year's festival is the appearance of a giant hot air balloon that can carry more than 10 people, which will help many visitors have the opportunity to experience this interesting type of flight.
