Occupational safety and hygiene have always been of concern to the Party and State, as shown in the Party's Documents, Resolutions, Directives, and State laws throughout the years.
However, according to experts, there are 4 major challenges that Vietnam is facing. First, Vietnam has a large number of workers working in the informal sector, concentrated in occupations such as construction, mining, and agriculture, which are places at risk. Labor safety risks are very high.
Second, Vietnam's population is aging very quickly, requiring Vietnam to ensure labor safety and health for elderly workers.
Third are the difficult issues of labor safety and hygiene inspection when approaching the informal labor sector.
Finally, there is data on workers in the formal and informal sectors, which need clear and accurate data, through which to provide accurate solutions to those problems.
Sustainable economic development must be associated with ensuring that everyone can work in safe and hygienic conditions, and be cared for for their material and spiritual life, which is a common standard in sustainable development. and international integration. Therefore, the issue of occupational safety and hygiene needs to be paid more attention and implemented more drastically by all levels, sectors, localities and businesses. At the same time, continue to strengthen and improve regimes and policies to ensure improved working conditions for workers.
