The Pham family in My Bang currently has 33 households with 135 people. Maintaining the tradition of learning and encouraging children to become useful people in society has been preserved by the family for the past 15 years. In which, the establishment of the study and talent promotion fund has been actively supported by the descendants of the family.
Every year, from the fund, descendants of the family with good academic achievements are rewarded and encouraged. Although the amount of reward is not too large, only VND50,000 or VND100,000 but the children also feel happy and proud, thereby they will try to study better.
Along with encouragement and commendation, during traditional holiday, descendants of the family gather together to tell stories of family traditions. This is also an opportunity for the children, who had good academic achievements and passed at prestigious schools, exchange experiences and knowledge for the next generation to follow. This encourages self-directed learning.
Up to now, all descendants of the family who reach school age can go to school. In the family line, there are no descendants suffering from social evils, no family being a poor household.
With the achievements in study and talent promotion, the Pham family in My Bang was rewarded by the Chairman of Yen Son District People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in "Promoting the movement of lifelong learning in the family and community until 2020”.
