The Tuyen Quang delegation deputies participated in the vote to pass the resolution on the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units for 2025.

This resolution takes effect from the date the National Assembly passes it.

The local governments in the provinces and cities formed after the reorganization will officially begin operations on July 1, 2025.

According to the resolution, the entire natural area and population of Ha Giang province and Tuyen Quang province will be reorganized into a new province named Tuyen Quang province.

After merging, Tuyen Quang province will have a total natural area of 13,795.50 km² and a population of 1,865,270.

Tuyen Quang province borders Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen provinces, and the People's Republic of China.
