During nine days into the Lunar New Year holiday, there were 445 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 209 people and injuring 373 people, a decrease of 38% to 40% in the number of cases, deaths and injuries due to traffic accidents compared to the same period of Tet Giap Thin 2024.
The number of deaths and accidents decreased, even if only one person, it reduced the pain of many people and many families.
The number of alcohol concentration violations during Tet decreased by more than 52% compared to Tet 2024; the number of speeding violations also decreased by nearly half.
It can be affirmed that Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government, which officially took effect from January 1, 2025, has greatly raised the awareness of traffic participants compared to before.
Decree 168 of the Government has contributed to raising awareness of traffic law compliance, reducing traffic accidents, and building a culture of safe and civilized traffic.
