To create conditions and opportunities for women to participate and enjoy equality in all areas of social life, every year, localities and many ministries, branches and agencies have developed plans and implemented activities in response to the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence, held from November 15 to December 15.

Through this activity, it aims to ensure social security, increase power and create opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence.

Thereby, the gender gap in all levels of education is narrowed; the system of support services for victims of gender-based violence is expanded and improved in quality; The role and position of women in the economic sector have been enhanced, and more and more outstanding female entrepreneurs and female CEOs in Vietnam have been recognized and honored by world economic forums.

The proportion of women participating in Party committees at all levels in all terms has increased.

In 2024, the month of action has the theme "Ensuring social security, increasing power and creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence", demonstrating the promotion of substantive gender equality, in order to promote the capacity, role and potential of women for the development of the community, of the family and to benefit from the achievements of that development.

With a series of response activities organized by agencies and units in localities across the country, it will contribute to the successful implementation of the goals of the national strategy on gender equality, the Law on Gender Equality and the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence.
