Dangers of e-cigarettes

TQO - E-cigarettes are now widely and openly used, especially among young people.

A survey in 34 provinces and cities in 2020 showed that the rate of e-cigarette use among adults aged 15 and over increased 18 times, from 0.2% in 2015 to 3.6% in 2020.

Notably, the demand and use among young people, especially women and girls, has also increased.

Because they are not included in the list of prohibited investment and business sectors or prohibited production, trading, import, and advertising activities, and are not included in the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms, when violations are detected, the authorities mainly handle the act of trading in smuggled goods, without origin and invoices.

Certainly, the management of e-cigarettes will be added to the law by the State.

People hope to have sanctions to strictly manage as soon as possible before the number of users continues to increase.
