Noise pollution

TQO - Noise pollution is one of the common types of environmental pollution in developing countries; affects work and rest and has a negative impact on human health.

In fact, noise pollution receives less attention than other forms of pollution such as air pollution, water pollution, etc.

Noise pollution negatively affects human health, can lead to hearing loss, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, sleep disorders, etc.

Recently, the Government issued Decree 45/2022/ND-CP on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of environmental protection (replacing Decree 55, 2021), effective from August 25 -2022 with the highest fine from 140 - 160 million VND for acts of causing noise exceeding 40dBA.

However, to eliminate this problem, in addition to the drastic intervention of local authorities through sanctions, there needs to be more effective propaganda and education measures to raise community awareness.

In particular, each person needs to have appropriate rules of conduct in public places to minimize sound impact on the surrounding environment.
