Models of plastic waste fighting

TQO - From the movement "Tuyen Quang join hands to treat waste and fight plastic waste", the province has formed effective models in the community.

Flower garden in the air

The women's members of Pho Do Hamlet, Thien Ke Commune, Son Duong District actively collected bottles, plastic cans and old wheels to create a "flower garden in the air" with an area of 12m2 and more than 150 flower pots. They are hung in the campus of the hamlet culture house.

The flower garden in the air model of the Pho Do hamlet women's association in Thien Ke Commune, Son Duong District.

With an effective way, the movement of collecting plastic waste to make flower garden in Thien Ke has spread to many localities. Up to now, the movement has developed in the province.

Eco-bricks

Eco-brick works are made entirely from plastic waste. Each household will collect used plastic bags and plastic bottles and then bring them to the culture house of Tri Phu Commune, Chiem Hoa District on the 10th of every month.

The plastic bottles are collected and then stuffed with used plastic bags. This work is very laborious, so it is necessary to mobilize all human resources from the elderly to children. From 2021 up to now, the whole commune has collected over 20,000 ecological bricks, built many works such as flower gardens, fence walls, culture house campus, etc.

People in Khun Ma Hamlet, Tri Phu Commune take advantage of plastic bottles and plastic packaging to make ecological bricks in order to build the campus of the village culture house.

Household trash cans

For over a year, the separation of organic and inorganic waste has become a habit in daily life of families in Kim Quan Commune, Yen Son District. The application of this model of household trash can both clean the house and bring economic benefits.

The model has been replicated in 4 out of 7 hamlets of Kim Quan Commune, with more than 250 trash cans, of which 50% of trash cans are voluntarily contributed by local people. The trash cans are arranged according to the diagram, the appropriate location. Each location is marked and has an ordinal number for people to conveniently collect waste. Since then, each citizen is self-conscious to keep the village roads, alleys and houses clean.
