Joining hands to remove temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households

TQO - Along with paying attention to implementing solutions to create livelihoods for the poor, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households has always been paid attention to by Tuyen Quang province.

A new house of poor households in village 20, Lang Quan commune (Yen Son) was completed with support from the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing in the province.

The province has also promoted the programme "Month for the Poor in 2023", and strengthened the mobilization and integration of resources to focus on supporting housing for poor households, with the determination to implement the Program national goal of sustainable poverty reduction.

In Tuyen Quang, support project for poor and near-poor households in poor districts was implemented in the districts of Na Hang and Lam Binh. Of these, 1,675 poor and near-poor households received support to build and repair houses. In 2023, 425 households will be supported (192 new houses built, 233 houses repaired). By the end of September 2023, the disbursement rate reached over 52%.

The goal of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, was determined to reduce from 2% to 2.5% of poor households each year. With high determination and the participation of the entire political system, the consensus and support of all classes of people combined with the spirit and desire of each poor household to rise out of poverty will contribute to the poverty reduction goals in the province in the coming time.
