The standing members of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee chaired the conference.

In the first six months of 2019, the Provincial Party Committee comprehensively directed all  fields. The province’s economy continued to grow, with a growth rate at 9.02%, higher than the national average at 6.76%.

Several key indicators increased significantly over the same period last year, such as industrial production value up 11.8%, total retail sales of goods and services increased by 8.7%, export value of goods increased by 43.7%, tourist arrivals up 9.4% and social revenue from tourism increased by 8.7% compared to the same period in 2018.

The province has focused on solutions to improve the local investment environment and its competitiveness index, while attracting resources for socio-economic development. Cultural activities and communications campaigns have been held intensely. Positive changes have been recorded in education, healthcare, labour and employment, while poverty reduction and social security have received much attention. National defence and security remains maintained. The Party building work and political system construction continues to be enhanced.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Chu Van Lam, emphasised that the last six months of 2019 were an  important period with a huge workload. He urged the local authorities at all levels to focus on drastically fulfilling their assigned tasks, especially those seeing low levels of targets achieved, while developing appropriate solutions to achieve the set targets for 2019 and 2020, as well as the whole 2015-2020 term.

Members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee must regularly inspect and urge the assigned branches, fields and areas to promptly handle difficulties and handle problems that arise.
