The council evaluated the province’s economic situation in the first six months of this year, with a year-on-year positive growth rate and development. Its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 9.02% (compared to the same period in 2010).

Tuyen Quang’s finance, trade, service and tourism sectors continued to see strong development. Meanwhile, the locality witnessed many changes in culture, education, healthcare, social welfare and poverty reduction.

The administrative reform and improvement of investment and business environment achieved important results.

The local authorities also paid much attention to investing in infrastructure system as well as enhancing the inspection work and maintaining defence and security.

During the session, the provincial People’s Council discussed and approved 26 resolutions, including 22 for the fields of economy, budget, construction investment, poverty reduction, policy and administrative unit arrangement. They are very important resolutions that singificantly contribute to the comprehensive and sustainable development of the province.
