Tuyen Quang provincial delegation ends trip to Europe

TQO - Continuing the working programme, a delegation of Tuyen Quang Province paid a working visit to Sweden and Germany from November 29 to December 1.


The provincial delegation paid a working visit to Braviken Paper Factory.

The delegation visited and worked at Braviken Paper Factory of Sweden’s Holmen Group. The factory, with 400 officials and workers,  specializes in writing paper, consuming 1.3 million cubic meters of raw wood to produce 550 thousand tons of white paper each year. The factory has a closed production process, from transporting raw materials to packaging of finished products. Over 90% of the factory's products are exported to European and Asian markets.

Visiting and working with the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden, the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany, the provincial leaders expressed their hope that the embassies will help connect Swedish investors in coordinating training, sharing experience in the field of forestry production; accessing technologies for creating short-cycle, high-yield forestry tree species; attracting investment; and transferring advanced technologies in plantation timber processing and waste treatment.


Mr. Chau Van Lam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented gifts to the Ambassador of Vietnam in Germany.

The ambassadors affirmed that they would connect German and Swedish investors with businesses from Tuyen Quang Province to discuss and agree on cooperation contents related to forestry production and skilled labour training, contributing to expanding cooperation between localities and businesses of the two countries.

The delegation has successfully concluded their visit to Europe.
