Nguyen Thi Dien, a Tay ethnic people in Soi Trinh Hamlet, Trung Hoa Commune, Chiem Hoa District shared that in the past, the Tay people woven brocade with indigo dyed cotton or dyed silk. Nowadays, the price of silk is expensive, so brocade weavers switch to using wool to weave with colours of black, red, yellow, blue, creating a strong impression.
Every woman, from birth to adulthood, has been taught by her mothers and grandmothers how to grow cotton, grow mulberry, raise silkworms for yarn, and weave silk. From those pieces of cloth, with skillful hands, women sew shirts, pants or blankets, curtains, pillows for themselves, for their husbands and children.
Currently, brocade of the Tay people has become a unique tourism product, attracting many visitors.
