Mr. Dung introduces his treasure trove of ancient books.
He said that he was raised in the Cao Lan ethnic community, so the ethnic culture is the origin, the soul, the precious asset left by our ancestors that needs to be preserved, etc.
Born in a traditional family, he is knowledgeable about the beliefs, culture, and customs of his ethnic group. Not only is he fluent in reading and writing Han Nom characters, he also preserves a "treasure trove" of ancient books with over 200 different books.
He said that these are the assets left by his father. All the customs, habits, and culture of the Cao Lan people are written concisely in each book. The book's content gathers knowledge and experience in choosing auspicious days and months, books on writing, how to live, how to address, behave, culture, and ethics in life.
Mr. Dung's ancient books are hundreds of years old.
Understanding the preciousness of traditional culture, he always wonders how to preserve and promote those precious values. Therefore, whenever he has free time, he mobilizes his children, grandchildren, and young people in the village and commune to come to his house to teach the ethnic language, worship rituals, ancient characters, beautiful words and meanings of Sinh ca melodies, etc.

In 2021, the People's Committee of Yen Son district implemented the Project "Building the Cao Lan Ethnic Cultural Village in Dong Son village associated with developing community tourism" to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Cao Lan ethnic group in Dong Son village. During the process of building the cultural village, he, together with local authorities at all levels, has promoted and mobilized people to participate in restoring and preserving their ethnic culture with many activities such as establishing the Cao Lan Ethnic Cultural Identity Preservation Club, the Ethnic Language Preservation Club.

In addition to regularly practicing and learning Sinh ca songs, club members also received information from him about preserving the ethnic language, costumes, customs, traditional culture, and the good lifestyle of the Cao Lan people.
Mr. Ma Van Thong, Head of Dong Son village, affirmed: “Mr. Dang Tien Dung always diligently contributes to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cao Lan ethnic group. In addition, he also mobilizes people in the village to focus on economic development, implementing cultural lifestyles in residential areas and local movements to contribute to building increasingly rich and beautiful villages”.
