From 2011 to now, she has taught 150 students of all ages from villages in Yen Hoa commune to sing Then, play Tinh lute and has never charged tuition fees from her students.

To help Ms. Uyen have funds to maintain Then singing classes, for the past 3 years, Yen Hoa Commune People's Committee has regularly coordinated to open Then singing classes and provide training for her according to regulations, but she absolutely does not charge tuition fees from students.

Comrade Ma Dai Duy, Vice Chairman of Yen Hoa Commune People's Committee, said that Ms. Uyen has a special talent for remembering Then songs, she only needs to listen to them once and she can figure it out and sing along. That is why Ms. Uyen can sing and play nearly 60 Then songs of all kinds fluently. She also creatively transforms ancient Then songs into modern Then styles for students to easily access and learn. Ms. Uyen hopes to have good health and good ears to enjoy the sound of the instrument and a clear voice to continue the work of transmitting Then melodies to the younger generation.
