During the festival, Tuyen Quang residents flocked to markets to buy fermented glutinous rice and other foods to “kill insects”.

Normally, In the early morning, people eat some traditional foods which are believed that are effective for killing all insects such as fresh fruits, gio cake and “com ruou” (fermented glutinous rice).

Doan Ngo Festival is also an occasion when people can show their gratitude to the others by giving some gifts.

The festival shows the close relationship between people.
