Right from the moment he learned about making conical hat, he showed his different skills. He only had to look once and then imitate the exact same way of knitting. In addition, he was able to create many new knitting styles to create diverse products.

He said that many products are beautiful but do not have durability. That is what worries him the most. The traditional Tay hat made of leaves was only worn in a short time, so his idea of knitting bamboo hats (a more durable material than leaves) was cherished.

The bamboo hat product created by him won the second prize at the contest "Designing tourism souvenirs and creating tourism logos and slogans" in 2018 organized by Tuyen Quang province. For many consecutive years, the work has been selected to be displayed and introduced at domestic and foreign handicraft booths.

Currently, the price of a bamboo conical hat ranges from VND100,000 to VND200,000 per cone.
