To attract investment, the district has focused on the planning of urban areas, land use, new-style rural areas and traffic roads.

The wood processing factories of the Woodsland Tuyen Quang Joint Stock Company in Thang Quan Commune create jobs for nearly 2,000 workers.

The district has also upgraded its district-level, urban and inter-communal roads. Particularly, the local authorities have focused on the construction of the Thang Quan industrial cluster and the main road infrastructure in the district’s centre.

In addition, the district has reviewed and re-planned agricultural commodity production regions, ensuring conformity with the characteristics of each region and locality. Four concentrated agricultural production areas have been formed, including the upper, lower and central lands as well as a safety zone.

As a result, the district has attracted many large-scale agricultural projects such as the dairy farm of the Vinamilk Dairy Joint Stock Company in My Lam Ward in Tuyen Quang City, the high-tech dairy farm of the Ho Toan Joint Stock Company in My Bang Commune, and the buffalo farm of the Oanh Phuong Trading Company Limited in Hoang Khai Commune.
