Currently, Tuyen Quang Province has over 8,000 hectares of tea, 3,000 hectares of sugarcane and over 140,000 hectares of planted forests. The province has focused on improving the quality of plant varieties with the cultivation of many new varieties of tea to ensure the enhancement of tea production.

The development of safe tea farming areas following VietGAP and organic standards has continued to be promoted by localities with 798 hectares of tea meeting VietGAP standards and 62.5% of tea farming areas dedicated to specialty teas and hybrid teas.
The province is implementing two projects to plant and replant high- productivity tea conducted by Song Lo Tea Joint Stock Company and Tan Trao Tea Joint Stock Company across a total area of 890 hectares.
To date, the province has nearly 28,000 hectares of forests meeting FSC standards. The annual average output of wood is over 880,000 cubic metres per year, meeting the wood processing demand in the province.
The development of raw material areas to meet agro-forestry processing has contributed to creating jobs as well as improving local people's incomes.
