Tuyen Quang focuses on developing cooperatives

TQO - The cooperatives’ activities in Tuyen Quang Province have changed in organisation, management and content, creating jobs and stable incomes for members and employees as well as making an important contribution to the economic development of the province.

Tuyen Quang has 998 cooperatives groups and cooperatives with more than 32,000 members. The total charter capital is estimated over VND1,330 billion. In the 2017-2020 period, the province has contributed to restructuring agricultural economy and rural areas and building new-style rural areas.

There are a number of new models of cooperatives in association with the value chain of commodity products, such as the production chains of Tan Trao clean organic specialty rice and Ngan Son Trung Long organic tea in Trung Yen Commune, Son Duong District; Tea Cooperative No.168 and Bat Village Tea Cooperative in Tan Thanh Commune, Ham Yen District; and Ngoc Thuy organic specialty tea cooperative in Phu Lam Ward, Tuyen Quang City.

Recently, many newly-established cooperatives have registered to operate in new fields, meeting market demands such as aquaculture on the hydroelectricity lake bed in the districts of Chiem Hoa and Na Hang, and medicinal, clean tea plantations.

In the period 2020 - 2025, the province strives to establish 150-200 new cooperative groups and 150 - 200 cooperatives, bringing the total to 1,350 cooperative groups and cooperatives in the locality; 100% of communes have cooperatives, and 100% of the communes building new-style rural areas are operating cooperatives effectively.
