The model of growing pomelo in combination with raising chickens of Hoang Van Truong's family.

After researching many economic development models, he invested in renovating the entire land area and planted nearly 500 pomelo trees. At the same time, he started to build a barn to raise chickens under the pomelo canopy.

Thanks to the local soil and proper care, after nearly three years, the pomelo garden has grown and developed well with the average selling price of 10-15 thousand VND/fruit. Each year, his family earns VND150 million - VND200 million from growing pomelo.

With more than 10 years of experience in raising chickens, each year he raises two litters of broiler chickens, with 8,000 chickens per litter, providing about 9 tons of chicken per litter with the selling price of VND80,000 per kg. After deducting costs, the chicken farming model also brings a stable income of more than VND700 million per year for his family. His chicken products are consumed in the provinces of Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Ha Noi.

In 2022, his family was honored by the Provincial Farmers' Association as a good production and business household at the provincial level.
