Its favourable geographical position creates good conditions for local people to exchange trade and services with neighbouring Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc provinces. The commune’s total revenue of trade and services is estimated at over VND200 billion each year.
Currently, the commune has a lot of businesses, construction material stores, electronic stores, and large-scale convenience stores, serving local residents and those in neighbouring communes as well as creating jobs for local people.

The number of business households and local enterprises in Hong Lac is increasing rapidly, 375 households and 10 enterprises operate in the fields of restaurants, transport service, grocery and construction materials.
Kim Xuyen Hamlet currently has the highest number of business households. There are over 150 households doing services and services in the hamlet with an average income ranging from VND4 million - VND5 million. The poverty rate here is less than 2%.
The commune’s key task in the time to come is to continues to effectively use capital sources allocated by the State, and create favourable conditions for households to develop trade and services, in order to improve the living standards of local residents.
