Phuc Ninh organic sweet orange (Yen Son district) had its trademark certified by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (IPO) in early 2020. The sweet orange in Phuc Ninh commune is more fragrant and sweeter than the one growing in other regions. Nevertheless, it is sold at only VND20,000-25,000 per kilogramme.
To distinguish the Phuc Ninh sweet orange from similar products in the market, the local cooperative submitted an application for trademark registration in late 2019 and then received the IPO certification.

Apart from Phuc Ninh, the Sang Nhung Cooperative in Dong Tho commune (Son Duong district) completed its registration for the Sang Nhung clean pork trademark early this year.
The cooperative’s pig farming process always ensures food hygiene and safety conditions. On average, the cooperative provides over 30 tonnes of pork that meet biosafety standards to the market each month.
Currently, Tuyen Quang has 33 agricultural products managed by cooperatives that have been registered for a trademark, an increase of 28 products compared to 2015. Of them, 22 have been recognised by the IPO, while the other 11 have had their applications accepted by the agency.
Concerning some other key products of the province such as grapefruit, high-quality rice, green tea, fat duck, and ‘mien dong’ (canna vermicelli), trademarks for these have been registered and managed by local cooperatives, thus contributing to gradually affirming their reputation and ensuring stable consumption markets.
