Tuyen Quang has a total of 1,714 enterprises, 14 of which import production materials and equipment from other countries, mainly from China. With the onset of Covid-19, their import of raw material has been brought to a halt.
In this situation, Tuyen Quang Iron Steel Company Limited has been actively looking for materials from domestic partners as well as repairing and making use of old equipment to re-organise production and ensure job security for its workers.

Currently, 10 garment and footwear companies are operating in Tuyen Quang Province. They are facing a great deal of difficulties due to the shortage of materials which are entirely imported from foreign countries. Nevertheless, 3 production lines of Long Ha Garment Company Limited have remained in steady operation, creating jobs for more than 100 workers working 2 shifts per day.
An Hoa Pulp & Paper Mill Company has also been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, with its import and export activities with China temporarily suspended. The company has proactively secured materials from other countries as well as expanded its markets to neighbouring provinces.
Amidst the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the provincial authorities have directed the functional departments to closely follow enterprises’ activities in order to promptly help them resolve their difficulties. Additionally, the local branch of the State Bank of Vietnam has asked commercial banks in the province to review and assess their customers’ loan structures, especially for enterprises, in order to provide timely support when required.
