The poetic scenery in Ban Bon, Phuc Yen commune.
Recently, Phuc Yen commune has organized the Moc Mien Flower Festival and the Ethnic Culinary Culture Festival, attracting a large number of local people and tourists from all over to attend and experience. All villages in the commune have booths to display, introduce and promote the potential and specialties of the locality.
Comrade Chau Van De, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee affirmed that Phuc Yen has beautiful natural landscapes with primeval forests and high biodiversity. Among them are many precious wood species such as Dinh, Cho Chi, Doi, especially Nghien trees over 1,000 years old in the locality that have been recognized as Vietnam Heritage Trees.
The villages of Khau Cau, Na Khau, Ban Bon, Phieng Mo, Ban Tang, Ban Thang all live in clusters in the valleys with unique customs and practices. Thanks to natural conditions and large grazing areas, Phuc Yen has a large herd of cattle and poultry. Dishes made from buffalo meat, stream ducks, hill chickens, black pigs and wild vegetables are popular with diners.
Through the Moc Mien Flower Festival and the Ethnic Culture and Cuisine Festival of Phuc Yen commune in 2025, visitors discovered that the locality has "revealed" many new tourism potentials. Besides the forests of Moc Mien flowers blooming bright red next to the primeval forest, along the ecological lake, Phuc Yen also has many Booc Ma flowers.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang suggested to the leaders of Phuc Yen commune to study and develop tourism according to the seasons, associated with local flowers to become the commune's own brand.
Through a survey, it is possible to plan to plant at beautiful check-in points of Phuc Yen commune, creating large populations of booc ma trees. The commune is also having the idea of building the booc ma flower festival into a unique brand of Phuc Yen associated with the water wheel and the stream. Only then will Phuc Yen tourism be supplemented, exploited in a harmonious, sustainable, and authentic way, meeting the wishes of visitors from all over the world.
