Timber products and wooden household appliances have been sold in both domestic and export markets. The forestry processing facilities in Chiem Hoa District have created jobs for 1,000 locals.
To bolster the district’s potential, local authorities have proactively called for large enterprise investment in An Thinh Industrial Complex, which has equipped itself with a timber processing line to a scale of 29.000 square metres. Furthermore, local people have been encouraged to grow large timber plantations, aiming to increase the value of planted forests. District leaders have particularly focused on the implementation of the province’s support policies involving forestry development.
Accordingly, Chiem Hoa District was supplied with 109.9 hectares of hybrid acacia in 2019. The district has also boosted the license of forestry certifications in line with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards, increasing the value of timber plantations so that local people can benefit from the forestry economy.
To sum up, the development of forestry processing facilities have contributed to raising the value of industry production in Chiem Hoa District as well as creating more jobs and income for the locals.
