The popular guava variety grown in Kim Phu Commune is a pear-shaped guava. Kim Phu guava is grown in hamlets No. 16, 17, 18 and 20. The total area of guava cultivation in the commune is more than 20 hectares, including over 10 hectares in hamlet No.20.
Guava planting has helped to improve local people’s incomes by earning VND120 - 150 million per year. Guava is generally sold at a good price. During its main season, a kilogram of guava is priced from VND10,000 to VND15,000 and from VND25,000 to VND 30,000 during the off-season.

In addition, households in the commune have also participated in training courses on growing fruit trees, which are organised by local authorities. Thus, most of them have gained experience in planting and taking care of guava.
In 2019, the commune’s People's Committee assigned the Kim Phu Commune Agriculture and Forestry Cooperative to build models for growing guava under VietGAP standards, and to develop the “Kim Phu Guava” brand.
Currently, more than 19,500 square metres are growing Kim Phu guava in the commune, with VietGAP certification, generating an annual productivity of approximately 38 tonnes. The cooperative has also completed a dossier to submit to the National Office of Intellectual Property for the brand certification of the "Kim Phu Guava".
