Tuyen Quang sustainable poverty reduction in the 2021 - 2025 period

TQO - According to Plan No. 128 of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction in Tuyen Quang Province in the period of 2021 - 2025 and 2022:

1. Goals

- 2022: The overall poverty rate in the province will decrease by 3.48% (from 23.45% to 19.97%)

- 2025: The rate of poor households in the whole province will decrease by over 3% per year on average.

2. Total capital for development investment from the central budget:

- Over VND503.4 billion

3. Objects

-  Poor households, near-poor households, newly escaped from poverty families, disabled people

- People living in poor districts

- Cooperative groups, cooperatives

- Vocational education institutions, employment service centers

- Officers working in poverty reduction at all levels

- Related businesses and individuals

4. 7 projects:

- Supporting investment in socio-economic infrastructure development in Na Hang and Lam Binh districts:

     + Investing in 61 projects (traffic, schools, culture houses, canals, domestic water, electricity lines)

- Diversifying livelihoods, and developing poverty reduction models:

     + Supporting 50 models, projects

- Supporting production development, and improving nutrition

     + Supporting to improve production capacity of agriculture, forestry and fishery; promoting production linked along the value chain and high technology application.

     + Improving the quality of school meals, nutrition education and care.

- Developing vocational education, sustainable jobs

     + Supporting facilities, equipment, training services

     + Career guidance, start-up support and job creation

     + Supporting workers in Na Hang and Lam Binh districts to work abroad

- Housing support for poor and near-poor households

     + New construction, repair and upgrading of houses for 1,200 households

- Communication and information poverty alleviation

     + Striving for 90% of poor and near-poor households to have access to telecommunications and internet services.

     + 100% of communes with special difficulties have operating radio stations and public information points.

- Capacity building and program monitoring and evaluation

     + Supporting for training to provide knowledge and skills for the team working on poverty reduction.

     + Organizing monitoring and evaluation of the program.
