In order to control, prevent and not spread and break out diphtheria, the Prime Minister has just signed Official Dispatch No. 68/CD-TTg dated July 13, 2024, directing ministries, branches and localities to strengthen the prevention and control of diphtheria.

In Tuyen Quang province, there have been no recorded cases of diphtheria and no F1 cases related to diphtheria.

However, to proactively prevent and control diphtheria, localities need to step up communication work so that people can proactively implement disease prevention measures, especially clearly propagating the benefits of vaccination and mobilizing people to take their children to get vaccinated against diphtheria, ensuring enough doses and on schedule.

Monitor and detect early to avoid missing or missing risk factors; develop plans and prepare response plans for epidemics; strengthen close monitoring of the epidemic situation, in order to promptly detect suspected cases and risky cases to have thorough handling measures, and prevent outbreaks.
